The Pharisseic Catholic Priest was quoting Maccabees but what he didn't mention is that Maccabees and The book of Esther were not found in the collection of Qum Ran scrolls. Which means that they were not considered Old Testament Canon by the True Aaronic Temple Priests (exiled at Qum Ran). His explanation for the Hasmonean revolt of 165 B.C. is twisted truth, the same kind of thing Satan did when he quoted scripture to Christ in that very same wilderness area. P.S. I have no doubt that this Catholic priest believes everything he is saying, which is not surprising considering the Essene influenced Catholic system in which he was educated. But the truth is is that he's just plain wrong.
